This is me. Amy.
I am a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, an aunt, a teacher, a leader, and an all around decent person. I am quite sad to say that I am forty. Yikes! That was hard to type. I’d been dreading that big number for a long, long time… and now it is here and I must embrace it.
I live in the south in a state where nothing could be finer. I am wife to a wonderful man. We were high school sweethearts, and I love him even more today than I did 23 years ago. Hubby and I are the parents to two awesome kids, Big Girl and Little Man. My big is 16 and would die if she knew I was openly referring to her as “big girl”. My little is 12 and embodies everything that goes along with being a “little man”. They are both my heart and soul. I love my little family!
I teach fifth grade science and absolutely love doing so. Teaching is a daily challenge that causes me to rely more and more on my God. I lead the children’s choir at my church and assist the Hubby in leading the youth choir. I am the church’s webmaster, which is a job that I both loath and love if that is possible.
I started this blog as a testimony to the love, forgiveness, and grace of my Lord and Savior. From there, it has become a place for me to express myself and share my story and my God’s message. I chose the title from one of my favorite verses: Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humblywith your God.
Hey! I can do that! And I would love for you to join me on the journey!
