Advent, Luke 1:39-56

It’s Advent, friends!!  What a joyous time of the year!!  There is nothing more exciting than preparing for the coming of our Savior.  Welcoming a new-born babe in a manger, seemingly so small and ordinary, who will grow to become the Savior of the entire world!

During the month of December, I will be celebrating the coming and the birth of our Lord.

Today I am looking at Luke 1: 39-56, when Mary visited Elizabeth.  Instead of sharing the scripture (which I still encourage you to read!), I am sharing this:

How great is our Lord Jesus Christ that even unborn babes want to praise Him?!

It is written in Luke 19:37-40:

When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:

“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”

“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”

“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

It is our business to praise Him.  He WILL be praised!  From the mouths of His followers to the stones on the ground… to the unborn baby who already knows His greatness!!  He WILL be praised!  AMEN!

These scriptures are affording me a few days off as I have combined 2 days of readings into one.  I will see you soon!  Enjoy your family and friends and all the richness of God’s blessings!
