One Thing Remains (Day 29)

Hey, folks!  Guess what today is?!  (how many of you are checking your calendar to see if the answer is “hump day”? Geesh!)  Yes, it is the 29th day of the 31 Day Challenge… and although I am super excited about that, that isn’t the answer.  THIS IS MY 200TH POST!  And what better way to mark this milestone than by praising my Heavenly Father?!!

Yesterday, I shared Hubby’s new favorite song as my praise for Monday Praises.  Today, I want to share one of my millions of many favorites.  It is “One Thing Remains” by Kristian Stanfill and Passion Band.  Never heard of them?  Neither had I… but I am in love!

Psalm 136_1-3 copy

Read Psalm 136… it is filled to bursting with God’s promise: my love never fails.  Love that never fails?!  Can there really be such a thing?  Love that doesn’t get disillusioned?  Love that doesn’t get caught up in self or in the world?  Love that remains focused and strong and true?  It may be hard for us to fathom, but that is exactly the kind of love that God offers to us… that He offers to you right now.

And if the promise of His unfailing love were not enough, there’s Romans 8:38-39:

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

He promises that this unfailing love will never leave us!!  We cannot be separated from it!  No sin is so big that it can make Him stop loving us and no obstacle is too great that He wouldn’t reach through it to bring us closer to Him.  Now THAT is an amazing God!!

Happy 200th post, friends!  Happy 29th day of praise!  Happy Tuesday!!  We have many reasons to praise our Father!!  Be blessed!

  1. I get so excited when God works this way in my life. We sang that song Sunday at church & I have been humming it since! To see it here this morning gave me the chills 🙂 So grateful for the way God works in our lives! Thank you for this post today. I visited from Teach Me Tues.
    Have a great Tues.!

  2. Dear Amy
This is what makes our God incredibly, awesomely and wonderfully amazing; the fact that He never changes. He acts according to His character which is love and that transcends anything we do or don’t do. He can never love us any more or any less for He is perfect and so is His love.
    Blessings XX
